Isolation and loneliness are common challenges as we age — but a shared meal can change everything. Group dining creates a space for meaningful interaction, laughter, and companionship that helps boost mood and overall mental health.
Our meals are freshly prepared, well-balanced, and thoughtfully designed to meet the nutritional needs of older adults. Eating together also encourages better nutrition and a more consistent mealtime routine.
From birthday lunches to holiday gatherings, group dining is where community traditions come to life. It’s a joyful way to mark special moments together, making everyone feel seen, valued, and included.
Whether you’re new to the area or a long-time local, you’ll always find a friendly face at our dining table. Our staff and volunteers are here to serve you with care and kindness.
The Meals on Wheels of the Monterey Peninsula Community Center will be closed on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in honor of Presidents Day. Regular hours will resume the following day.

The Meals on Wheels Community Center is a proud program of Meals on Wheels of the Monterey Peninsula (MOWMP) — a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the health, independence, and well-being of older adults in our community.
MOWMP supports active aging through in-person programs right here at the Community Center. This beautiful space in Pacific Grove is where MOWMP’s commitment to social connection, wellness, and community truly comes to life.
Together, we provide a full circle of care: from nourishing the body with meals to nourishing the spirit with friendship, activity, and purpose.
